The BPBIO750 does not offer bluetooth connexion by default. However it can be added using an RS232C Bluetooth dongle (X9P400001 - INBT 500 - RS232). The InBody device must also use INBT400 or INBT500.
The dongle must first be correctly setup.
The requirements
1 – Make sure the InBody BIA device you want to connect to is INBT500/400 enabled 2 – Make sure the BPBIO is either recent enough, or updated. 3 – Make sure the INBT500-RS232 (X9P400001 - INBT 500 - RS232) has been correctly set up (see below).
Set up the INBT500-RS232
1 – In order to set up the dongle, you will need to install the INBT500.apk application on an Android phone. It can be found on the InBody Library, under Software > Others. Or downloaded here.
2 – Plug the INBT500 Serial on the BPBIO, and click on “Scan”. You should now find one called “InBody Unknown”. Simply click on it to select it If the dongle is selected, Stop (NoDevice) should be replaced by Scan (XX:XX:XX:XX:XX:XX). The XX number should be the same as next to the name (it is the Mac address)
3 – Once the dongle selected, on the bottom right drop down menu, select BPBIO750
4 – Click on the text on the bottom right corner, and after “SET BT NAME BPBIO750” add the serial number, so it reads “SET BT NAME BPBIO750-SERIALNUMBER”
5 – Click on send
6 – Perform a Scan again, and the dongle should now appear as “BPBIO750_Serialnumber”. If so, close the app.
7 – Reboot the BPBIO device, and re-set the Bluetooth connexion on the InBody BIA device. It should then connect without any issue.
