Screen stopping during bootup
1. Symptom
If the screen stops at a specific screen and does not proceed even after a certain amount of time after InBody is powered on, we call this the “screen freezing during booting”.While booting, four types of screens are displayed in the following order. (Sample of InBody270) :
2. Cause
Screen freezing can occur on any screen. It can be always reproduced or can occur intermittently. The main reasons of the screen freezing are as follows1) The corruption of the data inside Nand Flash Memory IC of DNO2 board, U6.It is a part which works like hard disk, the storage, of a computer. Thus, this defect is similar to the blue screen error, which occurs when there’s a data corruption.2) Damage of RTC crystal on DNO2board, X3 (Since the inside is in a vacuum state, it does not operate even if a minute crack occurs)The part is used for time counting. During booting, if RTC crystal MCU does not receive the time signal, it stops at a specific screen (InBody logo screen)3) Defect of Wifi module or Bluetooth module of the deviceWhile booting, if the device uses defective modules, same error happens as error 1).
3. Solution
1. Try with another Bluetooth/Wifi dongle
2. Try replacing the Switch/Switch cable
3. Try to upgrade the Digital Firmware
4. Try to upgrade the Kernel (memory will be erased)
5. Try replacing the DNO2 Board (Or LNO3)
Screen freezing during use
Sometimes the device will freeze and stop responding while being on the home screen. To check if the device froze, check if the time displayed on the screen is still counting. If it is not counting anymore we consider the device having froze. If the time still passes but the device does not respond to input, it is a different issue.
Solution
1. Try updating the device
2. Try replacing the Wifi dongle
3. Try updating the kernel (Memory will be erased)
4. Try replacing the DNO2 Board (Or LNO3)
