Introduction

Dear all,

We are today announcing a major design change for the BPBIO750. This new variant will be referred to as BPBIO750R (R=Renewal).

This big change was driven by two major points :

-          Improve some quality issues

-          Respond to the discontinuation of some electronic parts

This change is both firmware related, and hardware related.

1 – How to distinguish the BPBIO750R from the BPBIO750

It is very important to know how to distinguish both models as parts are not always compatible.

The easiest and more certain way is simply to print a QC Report and check the firmware currently on the device. If the device’s firmware is starting with 05 (eg. 0541), it is the Renewal version.

Example :

2 – Changes

Parts :

The list of part has been added to this release. On the tab “New parts” are only the parts which are specific to the BPBIO750R. The tab “All parts” are all parts composing a BPBIO750R

Parts available have been added to the webshop : https://inbody-europe-cs-webshop.myshopify.com/collections/bpbio750r

Firmare :

As mentioned above, the BPBIO750R uses a different firmware. The updated firmware can be found here :

Gear Motor - Measurement count

When the Gear Motor fails, it can sometimes lead to the arm of the customer not being released. In order to make sure this is not something happening in the field, the device will now be locked at 60 000 measurements, which is the safe expected lifetime of the Gear Motor.

Once the device is locked, 2 options are available :

1 - Changing the Gear Motor

2 - Warning the user of the risk (Gear Motor failure leading to the cuff staying tightened) and disabling it manually

The following table is indicative of the lifespan of the Gear Motor, based on a 5 working days week :
